Our Partnerships
Medical School of the University of Puerto Rico
In January 2022, our Research Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Medical School of the University of Puerto Rico, following a meeting of researchers from the two institutions in San Juan.
The Memorandum of Understanding aims to promote research synergies in matters of public health, community care and natural disaster management.
International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW)
Members of our Centre work closely with the International Federation of Social Workers. Our members participate to the Global Education Committee as well as regional IFSW work.
Our work with the International Federation of Social Workers aims at the exchange of research and pedagogical knowledge, focusing on the development of social work curricula as well as the creation of quality assurance mechanisms in Social Work education.
Examples of research/education outputs linked to this partnership include the development of a CPD course in the broad theme of “social work in the context of conflict” and the co- facilitation of seminars on social work and the COVID-19 pandemic (jointly with SWAN).
